Model AIOxLINX & AIOxLINX/VB are software products designed to take advantage of the popular Windows 3.x operating environment from Microsoft. Each package includes a sample data oscilloscope program developed with the programmer’s tools that make up the product. Programmers may develop their own application packages utilizing the routines and tools to create Windows displays with pull down menus to interactively control and acquire data from the cards listed above. All features of the cards are accessible through the routines.

The AIOxLINX and AIOxLINX/VB can save developers significant efforts in porting their data collection, instrumentation, monitoring and control applications into the Windows environment. Applications communicate using the Models AIOxLINX & AIOxLINX/VB drivers by passing a “service request” that contains the specifications for a data acquisition task. The packages acknowledge the service request and notifies the application as the task, or its stages, are completed. More than 100 services are provided for creating foreground and background tasks to perform analog input and output, digital input and output, time and frequency measurement, event counting, pulse output, and period measurements.
